Happy New Year
and
an enormous 'Thank You' for your support

What a year it has been, definitely a roller-coaster with lots of highs and lows. However, if it wasn't for our community and volunteer support we would not have been able to continue services during the renovation and support many isolated and vulnerable people.

On behalf of the whole team we would like to say thank you, and here's to the next 12 months of the KCC journey!

New Year Programme

Grue – a fabulous walk-through experience for all the family – is coming to Damart Mill, Bingley in February 2025, and we need your help to build this enchanted world!

Have fun at Kirkgate Community Centre on Saturday 18th January between 10.00am - 12.30pm, turning recycled cardboard and materials into something magical alongside experienced artists and facilitators. All welcome, no experience needed, only a willingness to try something new and get involved.

This is a drop in session meaning you can turn up and stay for as long as you like. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All materials provided.

Volunteer Led Café

Give As You Can Café: Thurs 10.00am – 2.00pm

Light Lunch Café: Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri 10.00am – 2.00pm

KCC are proud to offer affordable food for everyone by pioneering the use of supermarket surplus foods as ingredients. Whilst also providing a friendly, warm and welcoming safe space for people to meet and socialise.

KCC partner with Neighbourly, Fareshare and Northcliffe Environmental Enterprises Team (NEET), who donate food items. These organisations and charities intercept food from supermarkets that would otherwise go to landfill.

The food menu is costed at minimum value to cover overheads, therefore being affordable to all and to support those struggling with the cost of living. However, additional donations are welcomed if affordable. Money given to the café is reinvested and used to support the centre in the continued running and delivery of non-funded activities and support for the community.
