Never Forgotten

The 80th VE Day Anniversary at KCC was a great success and so much fun was had by so many. It was great to see people dressed up and listening to the singing and laughter. The centre internally and externally was covered in bunting, photos and TV footage was displayed to acknowledge and respect those who sacrificed so much.

Thank you to Shipley Area Committee in making this happen.

A big thank you to ASDA!

The KCC team and Wednesday Afternoon Group were surprised by Mandy, ASDA Community Champion this week. As part of ASDAs 60th Birthday, the group had been selected to receive a £1,000 Celebrating Communities grant, which will be used to replace equipment. Also David Smith, a much loved volunteer and the overall team were presented with an Community Diamond Award in acknowledgment of the dedication and hard work in making a difference within the community.

KCC User Panel

Would you like your voice as a user heard whilst inputting on long term decision making, without the responsibilities and commitments of becoming a Trustees?

If so, why not submit an Expression of interest to join a newly formed user panel.

Deadline is 1st June 2025.

May KCC Film Club Schedule

Come over to KCC on a Monday at 1.00pm, grab a cuppa and have a natter with familiar faces, the film starts at 1.30pm.

Blood Monitor Machine

The blood pressure machine that has been located at KCC will be leaving this week for its 3 month stay at Bolton Woods Community Centre. The machine was extremely popular at KCC with over 513 readings taken during the past 3 months.

The machine is an initiative provide by WISHH Community Partnership and will continue to be on rotation for 3 months at each Community Centre so it will be back soon.
